Deenagh Lodge, Killarney National Park
Just across from St. Mary's Cathedral inside the entrance to the Knockreer section of the Killarney National Park is the picturesque Deenagh Lodge. Built in 1834 as a gate lodge, it is now a tearoom and a great choice for a cuppa after a relaxing stroll in the park. This can be the starting and finishing point for a number of circular walks that take in some wonderful views of the Lower Lake and the mountains as the routes wind through woodland offering glimpses of deer and other wildlife on the way and all within walking distance of the town centre. |
